How TankRemovers Works

This is a contractor directory. We do not remove tanks. You browse listings in the states we actually cover, then request quotes so contractors can contact you.

What this site is

TankRemovers lists oil tank contractors and publishes guides. Homeowners, agents, and property managers use it to find tank sweeps, underground removal, above-ground removal, soil testing, and remediation. Listing a business is a separate form at add your listing.

The live directory currently has 654 contractor listings in 17 states. That is not all 50 states. If your state is not in the list below, you can still send a quote request — we route what we can, and you should also hire a locally licensed contractor.

The four steps

  1. 1

    Search or browse

On the homepage, enter a 5-digit ZIP code. That opens /search and shows listed contractors near that ZIP. Or browse oil tank removal by state, then open a city or contractor page.

  2. 2

    Read a listing

Contractor pages are listings from our database (approved or auto-imported). They are a starting point for who works in that city — not a guarantee of license, insurance, or a specific price.

  3. 3

    Request quotes

The quote form is /get-quotes. It asks for first and last name, phone, email, state, ZIP, and a timeline. Street address, tank type (underground, above-ground, or not sure), and extra details are optional. The form copy says you can get up to 3 quotes. There is no charge to submit.

  4. 4

    Contractors contact you

Submitting the form saves the request and notifies us so it can be routed. The confirmation says licensed contractors will be in touch. Timing copy on that page is 1–3 contractors within 2 hours for emergencies, within 24 hours if you need work in about a week, or within 2–3 business days otherwise. You are not obligated to hire anyone.

Ready to request quotes?

Use the quote form. Include your ZIP, tank type if you know it, and any closing date.
